GNSS and its applications are becoming a more and more vital part of navigation at sea and inland waterways. Satellite Navigation is an integral part of e-Navigation, the future of maritime navigation and thereby high requirements concerning the equipment need to be met. This applies to requirements concerning hardware and software as well as satellite navigation specific parameters. GAUSS can ease the certification of integral systems like ECDIS by the certification of the satellite navigation components.
